EAP of South Florida's counseling staff of over 250 Florida affiliates are licensed professionals with masters or doctorate degrees in social work, mental health, family / marriage therapy, and certified addictions professionals. With one of the largest provider networks in Florida, offices are always located convenient to the employee’s home or work. We also maintain a large national provider network of licensed professionals throughout the United States to insure employees and their families get help when ever and where ever needed. Our EAP Management Team

    Doris Logan, MSW, CSWI, CEAP, President / Chief Executive Officer   eapsf@comcast.net

Ms. Logan is the President of Employee Assistance Professionals of South Florida with over 20 years of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and social services experience. Ms. Logan's extensive experience includes managing over seventy-five (75) EAP corporate accounts. Her specialty areas  include: Critical incident stress management, EAP operations and organizational performance, Drug Free Workplace programs, and supervisory and employee training programs.

Doris is currently a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and, The International Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). Ms. Logan holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Barry University and is an assistant professor for Barry University, School of Social Work.

     Jay Lee, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer 

Dr. Lee has over 30 years of experience in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and behavioral healthcare fields. Dr. Lee has successfully consulted with over 100 diverse organizations in a variety of areas including: EAP, human resources, strategic planning, organizational performance, marketing, managed care, and accreditation & licensure compliance. He has professional experience as a therapist, EAP executive director, clinical director, hospital administrator, and healthcare educator. Dr. Lee has served as an instructor for the FBI medical services and employee assistance program, as well as an adjunct faculty member at LYNN University and NOVA University.

Jay is currently a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the national Alliance for Nonprofit Management, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and The Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). Dr. Lee holds a doctorate degree in Health Care Administration and a master’s degree in sociology.
 

    Thomas J. Christiansen, Ph.D., Clinical Director  

Dr. Christiansen is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience. His performance enhancement specialties include; short term solution based therapy, stress management, anger control, assertiveness, organizational skills, conflict resolution and communication skills training. In addition to his expertise in psychological assessment & testing, Dr. Christiansen has significant clinical experience with employee depression, anxiety, substance abuse, children, couples and family therapy.

He is a recognized leader in the design and delivery of behavioral health systems of care. His expertise also include: provider network development, performance measurement systems, utilization management and quality improvement systems.

Michael R. Kirby, CMF, V.P. Management Consulting Services

Michael has over 25 years of progressively responsible experience in the fields of Career Management Consulting, Coaching, Human Resources Management and Organizational Development. Key areas of expertise include Outplacement Consulting, Executive Coaching, Business Development, Compensation, Benefits Management and Administration, Employee Relations and Labor Relations. He is Birkman Method Certified, familiar with and utilizes several behavioral assessment tools and a Certified Career Consultant (ICC).  Prior to joining EAP of South Florida, Mr. Kirby was the Director, Career Management Consulting for the Spherion Corporation. Michael has consulted with and provided career transition assistance to thousands of people including senior executives for numerous major corporations such as, Blockbuster Entertainment, Starbucks, Florida Power and Light, Motorola, North Broward Hospital District, McDonald’s, Pepsi-Cola, W. R. Grace, Lufthansa Airlines, Black and Decker, Alamo Rent-A-Car and many more. His professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resource Management and the International Association of Career Management Professionals. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Management and Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University.

Eric A. Gordon, Esq.,  Legal Consultant  

Eric Gordon is an attorney at Akerman Senterfitt with extensive experience in Labor and Employment Compliance and Litigation. Areas of employment law Eric is involved include: Drug Free Workplace Program compliance, investigation and response to Charges of Discrimination; legal compliance audits of client workplace; employees and management training; employment policy manuals and employee handbooks; and hiring, terminations, discipline and reductions in force. Mr. Gordon has successfully defended numerous corporate clients at both the trial and appellate levels in lawsuits involving millions of dollars. Mr. Gordon’s professional activities and achievements include: American Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Committee, Member; Florida Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Committee, Member; Palm Beach County Bar Association, Member; South Palm Beach County Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Committee, Co-Chair; Society for Human Resource Management, Member; and Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County, Chair. Mr. Gordon received his J.D. degree from St. Thomas University School of Law and his B.A. from University of Florida.
